Politics & Church with Andrae Crismon Attorney and Pastor (EP16) Andrae Crismon is a native of Bedford County but has been living here in Rutherford for almost 25 years since starting MTSU in the Fall of 1996. He has been an attorney for more than 17 years with almost 15 of those years spent serving as an anti-poverty attorney with the Legal Aid Society. He was the Managing Attorney for the Murfreesboro Legal Aid Office for 8 years and was the firm’s Pro Bono Director for almost 3 years. He is also the Pastor of Higher Ground Worship Center in Murfreesboro where he has served for 13 years. His lovely wife —and much better half —is Crystal Crismon, a mental health counselor with Murfreesboro City Schools. They have 2 boys together, Andrae II (age 11) and Caleb (age 8).
